Mike has over 20 years experience in the natural resources sector, predominantly in the area of research and data collection, as well as product management. He spent 18 years at Wood Mackenzie, working in metals and ferrous market research, well as supporting institutional investor clients leverage the platform for research and mining due diligence purposes. At Costmine, he leads the research and data business as we grow our mine property database, equipment and labor cost data, estimation tools and software, where we serve engineers, financial professionals and governments. Mike holds a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University as well as an MBA from Duke University.

Brad has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, including exploration consulting and mine operations in North America and East Africa. He has been integral in the derivation of costs associated with prefeasibility stage and earlier mine and mineral property evaluations at Infomine. He is a Registered Member of SME and a licensed professional geologist based in Spokane, Washington, USA. He holds a BS degree in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Missouri – Rolla and a MS degree in Geology and Geological Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

Cost Analyst/Reclamation Specialist
Krista surveys and publishes the Mine Salaries, Wages and Benefits Reports, other compensation surveys, and the Reclamation Cost Service, published by InfoMine. Prior to joining the CostMine team at InfoMine, she was an Environmental Coordinator with Newmont’s Western Nevada division, based at the Twin Creeks mine and at Hecla Mining Company’s successfully reclaimed and closed Rosebud Mine in Northern Nevada. She holds a BS degree in Geology from the University of Idaho.

Cost Analyst/Mechanical Engineer
Mike has over 15 years of experience in manufacturing, including new product design for commercial and industrial kitchens, ballpark concessions, furniture and high strength composites and has experience as a project manager/designer and trainer in an HVAC company. For nearly seven years, he and his wife Karrie owned and operated a small corrugated converting business serving over 300 customers in 19 states. He spent an additional 10 years in business development promoting bubbling fluidized bed waste to energy boiler systems working with clients in North and South America, Australia and parts of the Middle East. He holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

Joshua holds a BS in Geology from South Dakota Mines, where he focused on economic geology and geospatial analysis. Before joining Costmine, he applied data analystics to a variety of scientific disciplines and produced manuscripts and other media for publication at a research center. With Costmine, Joshua is surveying mining companies for labor compensation data to publish the Mine Salaries, Wages, and Benefits reports and the Mine Labor Tool.

Janette is a Cost Analyst at Costmine Intelligence with over 15 years of experience in metals and mining industry research and analysis. She spent nine years on the copper team at Wood Mackenzie, focused on copper mine costs and supply, and has also worked on precious metals mine costs at Thomson Reuters GFMS. Janette holds a PhD in Geochemistry from the University of Edinburgh, giving her a strong technical foundation for her work in mining cost analysis.

Kristin has over 15 years of experience in mining across both industry and academia. Her experience in mine operations, engineering, and mining technology spans North America, South America, and Australia. Prior to joining Costmine, her PhD research included concurrent design and underground schedule optimization and developing tools to assist engineers in development decisions. Kristin earned a BSc from Colorado School of Mines, a MSc from Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a PhD from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, all in Mining Engineering. She is a licensed Professional Engineer.

George has over 25 years of experience in software engineering and leadership, specializing in system architecture, AI-powered solutions, and technology transformation. As VP of Engineering at Airspace Data, he re-architected complex airspace management systems and reduced deployment times by 80% while dramatically improving reliability. Through his consulting practice, he delivered critical data analytics solutions for marquee clients including Apple, where he built patent research tools that reduced research time from months to minutes, and Warner Bros. Discovery, where he created enterprise-scale media scheduling platforms. At Costmine, George leads software engineering for the launch of Woody, a next-generation data analytics platform that transforms mine cost modeling for financial analysts and mining investors. He focuses on full-stack leadership including product management, technical architecture, and user experience design. George studied Computer Science at UC Berkeley and has been a longtime advocate for developer education and open-source contributions.

At Costmine, Humberto leads software development initiatives across the company’s digital platforms, helping modernize mining intelligence and cost estimation tools, including SHERPA suite, the Equipment Cost Calculator, and Woody. He works closely with engineering, product, and domain experts to translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions, while championing engineering best practices, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
Humberto holds an MBA in Solution Architecture from FIAP and a degree in Systems Analysis and Development from UNIFAAT. He is passionate about technology, mentoring developers, and building innovative solutions that empower data-driven decision-making.

Luke Donahue
Full Stack Team Lead
Luke Donahue is a full-stack engineer and team lead with a background that runs from physics and math to teaching to building production software. At Costmine, he leads the full-stack team behind Woody, a web platform for mining cost-curve analysis and financial modeling. Woody lets analysts and investors compare mining assets on interactive cost curves and run scenarios to see IRR (internal rate of return), NPV (net present value), payback and cash flow projections. He takes core projects from pitch to production, owns everything from product features to infrastructure and deployment, and has helped grow the team through hiring. Before Costmine, Luke was a full-stack engineer and design technologist at Rewiring America. There, he rolled out a design system from the design team through to engineering, built full-stack systems for user onboarding, data reporting and account management, and represented the company with outside engineering contractors. During four years at Expensify, he wrote the technical design doc for Dark Mode and built it in the flagship React Native app, created a backend service that let customers know when they were overpaying, automated the hiring team’s intake pipeline and trained junior engineers. Luke started out as a high school teacher and still loves explaining complex ideas in simple terms, a skill that shows up in his design docs, mentoring and presentations to non-technical audiences. He holds a double degree in Physics and Mathematics from Lewis & Clark College.
