Latin Metals Secures New Argentina Project

Latin Metals Expands Copper-Gold Footprint Adjacent to Esperanza Project in San Juan Province

At Costmine, we use our Mining Intelligence platform to track strategic agreements and asset movements across the global mining sector—monitoring exploration partnerships, option structures, and jurisdictional shifts as companies position themselves for discovery.

Latin Metals Inc. has signed a definitive option agreement to acquire up to 100% of the Huachi copper-gold project from Golden Arrow Resources. The 3,500-hectare Huachi property is located in San Juan Province, Argentina, immediately west of Latin Metals’ Esperanza project—where historical drilling has returned long intercepts of copper-gold mineralization.

Under the terms of the agreement, Latin Metals can earn an initial 75% interest through exploration expenditures and cash payments over four years. The company may then elect to acquire the remaining 25% interest to secure full ownership. If Latin Metals does not exercise this option, a joint venture will be formed, with each party contributing on a pro-rata basis.

The Huachi acquisition aligns with Latin Metals’ prospect generator strategy, which focuses on assembling high-potential exploration projects and partnering with other companies to fund advancement. The company currently operates across Peru and Argentina with a growing portfolio of copper, gold, and silver assets.

This agreement strengthens Latin Metals’ presence in one of Argentina’s most active mining jurisdictions and enhances the prospectivity of the broader Esperanza-Huachi corridor. It also highlights the continued interest in early-stage copper-gold opportunities in the Andes, as exploration companies seek to position themselves ahead of rising long-term copper demand.

Mining Intelligence continues to track exploration-stage transactions like this one across Latin America and other key regions—providing data on project ownership, option terms, and permitting milestones from announcement through execution.
